Saved By the Barn, a new 12 part heartwarming vegan documentary series will air on Animal Planet starting April 11th at 10pm EST!

It will feature animal rescues from Barn Sanctuary, a safe haven for rescued farm animals. The sanctuary came about in 2016 when Dan McKernan and his father converted their family farm into an animal sanctuary focused on rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected farmed animals.

The new show will be comprised of twelve one-hour long episodes and will follow Dan as he travels across the US to rescue farm animals. Each episode will feature a different individual’s rescue story including a set of roosters from a cockfighting situation, a blind goat, ducklings who need a special type of therapy, and a goat needing prosthetics for her back hooves.

Barn Sanctuary Executive Director Kelly Holt told VegNews, “Saved By the Barn is going to be a heartwarming and uplifting series that grants everyone permission to fall in love with farmed animals in ways they never knew possible.”

I don’t know about you all, but I can’t wait to see this show! The more people who watch it, the more likely they will have more shows featuring rescued farm animals in the future, so please watch if you can!
