On August 10, 2023, the Argentine documentary “Invisibles” about veganism and the problem of animal consumption from different angles premiered at the Gaumont Cinema in Buenos Aires. It not only deals with veganism but also environmental policy, animal rights, and plant-based eating.
It is the first documentary by Ana Paula Rosillo, and is produced by Hodie Producciones, winner of the Plan for the Promotion of Creative Industries Ministry of Culture Santa Fe 2022. It stars Malena Blanco, Ariel Kraselnik, Rocio Hernández, María Angélica Miotti, and has the participation of Santiago Magariños, actor and activist. Malena Blanco is the creator of @voicot, an animal rights organization. Ariel Kraselnik is a cardiologist co-director of plant-based nutrition at the National University of Rosario, and founder of SAMEV, the Argentine Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Rocio Hernandez is a licensed nutritionist with a specialty in plant-based nutrition. Maria Angelica Miotti is an animal rights activist and a lawyer.
In the documentary you can see four short choral stories of activists that offer real and scientific evidence on climate change, deforestation, extinction, use of species. and proliferation of viruses.
Santa Fe director Ana Paula Rosillo said in a press release: “Having brought together the four activists who are part of this project allows to show in each of them how the professional intercepts activism, reveals the active emergence of a new intersectoral policy and bets on a new collective need that drives the matrix of the project. This, our cause, must be made visible and we are here to show it”
