According to the international consultancy Catenon, Catalan companies in the cosmetics sector are looking to hire and train professionals with the right skills and talent to meet the demand for vegan beauty products. According to Catenon, the rise of new natural cosmetics to develop vegan products, which are those that do not contain ingredients of animal origin and are not tested on animals, reflects a radical change in consumer care and beauty preferences.

Catenon is a multinational company dedicated to the global search for professionals based on data technologies and digital talent solutions with a high innovation component.

Laura Urue, Head of Consumer Affairs at Catenon, told Murcia.com, “Catalonia has an important market in the field of beauty and is a benchmark in the vegan field. Important leading companies worldwide are being created here to be able to address a market that is exploding. And that it will go, according to data such as those provided by Mordon Intelligence, from 2.84 billion dollars in 2024 to 3.95 billion dollars in 2029. Society does not want to look the other way and cruelty-free, vegetarian and vegan beauty has skyrocketed in recent years all over the planet. For this reason, at Catenon we have a high demand for professionals specialising in different areas of this sector, and we are working on the search for profiles throughout the 100 countries in which we operate. Catalonia aspires to be an international benchmark for vegan cosmetics and not only because of the creation of new brands but also because of the great interest and outstanding projects that are being generated in the multinationals installed here”.

Vegan cosmetics, and “cruelty-free” cosmetics (which may have ingredients of animal origin but are not tested on non-human animals), are transforming the labour landscape within the beauty and cosmetics industry in the Catalan market. Companies are looking for professional profiles in all areas of the industry, from research (chemicals and biochemists) to sales.
