Finn arrived at Goats of Anarchy as a wobbly baby who couldn’t sit up, walk, or hold his head up on his own.
He had vestibular disease, a neurological condition that affects balance and coordination. The prognosis for a kid in his condition, in most circumstances, would have been bleak. Most systems don’t have time for a baby goat who can’t stand up.
Goats of Anarchy is a sanctuary that makes time for those who would otherwise be immediately dumped.
What He Needed
The sanctuary got to work to tend to Finn’s specific needs. They built him a custom bed and acquired a cart to aid his mobility as he developed. He also had to be careful in sunlight, as the brightness could trigger seizures. They wanted him to have access to the outside world, so he got UV goggles, which are functional and very fashionable.
Goats of Anarchy is home to many animals with specific needs, and they provide ways to ensure that animals in their care can still enjoy things they otherwise wouldn’t get access to.
Where He Lives
Finn lives alongside many animals with disabilities. His neighbours include goats who are blind, goats with neurological disorders, and animals of various species whose needs would have shortened a life that was already in danger due to how other animals are exploited.
Finn is now the official door greeter of the special needs barn. He is the welcoming face, letting his presence and feelings be known.
Every feeling being deserves to find their place in safety and to not have others give up on them. Finn found his home, and he’s certainly making the most of it.
