Animal Research – DO WE NEED IT? Join the Panel on Solutions and Finding Hope for the Animals

Do we NEED to test on animals?

Millions of animals suffer and die for scientific research every year. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, pigs, rabbits, sheep, horses, and more, are held captive in laboratories where they are forced to undergo agonizing experiments to produce new drugs, cosmetics and much more. Join Vegan FTA and our panel of experts on finding solutions and hope for the animals being exploited in these systems.

Featuring our panel of experts:

Aysha Akhtar, M.D., M.P.H, Co-founder, President and CEO of the Center for Contemporary Sciences, which is catalyzing the replacement of unreliable animal testing with more effective human-specific research techniques.

Rachel Smith, CEO of Humane Research Australia, who work professionally and ethically to develop community-wide awareness of animal experimentation; pursues all reasonable channels to eliminate such experimentation and champions the benefits of realistic, scientifically effective alternatives to all forms of animal usage in research and teaching.

Tara Jackson, New Zealand Anti-Vivisection Society (NZAVS) Executive Director, Aotearoa’s primary charity defending animals used in science. NZAVS promote and encourage the use of scientifically viable and non-harmful research, testing, and teaching methods, lobby for legislative and systemic change, collaborate with and encourages stakeholders to create positive change and educate to create cultural and societal change.

This promises to be an excellent and uplifting discussion on the future of animal research and testing. Be sure to join us!
