Ready to meet and learn more about the adorable residents of Catskill Animal Sanctuary? Tune in now for an exclusive tour!
Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a 150-acre refuge located in Saugerties, New York. The beautiful sanctuary is located in the Catskill Mountains and is home to ten species of farmed animals who have been rescued from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment.
The dedicated team at Catskill Animal Sanctuary works tirelessly to fulfill their inspiring mission to rescue and rehabilitate farmed animals and ignite social change by promoting a vegan lifestyle! In addition to providing exceptional care to its residents, Catskill Animal Sanctuary offers in-person tours, educational programs, special events, and virtual field trips for students!
Watch the tour to meet Calvin and Bernie, two cows who were destined to be killed for veal within the dairy industry but were taken in by Catskill Animal Sanctuary when they were very young. Thankfully, they now enjoy a life of freedom and friendship! You’ll also be introduced to Lou the Silkie rooster, who was taken in as an egg and born the day after at the sanctuary. You’ll also meet the famous Audrey the Pig, who was featured in the documentary “The Last Pig.” Audrey and Mario were the last pigs kept on a farm before they were surrendered to Catskill Animal Sanctuary.
Tune in to learn about the sanctuary’s largest-ever mammal rescue, in which many sheep were taken in from a backyard farm operation. The animals were very sick and emaciated at the time but have made amazing progress due to the ongoing care provided by the sanctuary’s team. You’ll also learn about Jasmine, who was found in the woods when she was a piglet, Buddy the blind horse, Rosie, Levi, Hermione, and many more resilient sanctuary residents!
