Marshmallow was found on the side of the trail all alone next to her mother who appeared to have been dead for a couple of days. One of the hikers suggested shooting her, but luckily one of them made the compassionate choice to wrap her up and take her to a vet. 🐐

Luckily the vet had worked with Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary Ōtaki before and asked them if they would look after Marshmallow. 🥰

Watching Marshmallow grow up and get to live out her life in the sanctuary is a reminder of how just a moment of compassion can make all the difference in an animals life. 💜
