Regardless of whether they are dolphins, whales, fish, crustaceans or any other animal, no one deserves to be kidnapped or born in captivity, to live locked up, away from their family, their habitat and their culture. However, today we subject many aquatic animals to all of this and more, with the simple goal of making a profit by selling their lives for human entertainment. 💔⁠

Today, February 20, is World Aquarium Day, but it is not a day of celebration but of outrage. It’s an opportunity to remember that no matter the size of the tank, no aquarium is big enough or compares to the freedom of the open sea, lake or river, or the warmth of a real home. 🥺
