Fundraising for The Hidden Lives of Pigs: Help Us Reach More People

The film is now fully ready! What a journey and what a powerful piece we have created. This documentary matters. We know it matters for you too and we need your support to make a difference for millions of pigs all over the world whose lives are hidden because of the horrors they endure. We have finished the film and trailers now, and we’re working hard on establishing partnerships to promote it. Please help us get it to as many eyes (and hearts!) as possible. Our goal of $10K is secured thanks to everyone who cares about these defenceless animals. Every pig currently in the slaughter line, every piglet living in a concrete pen, and every sow being impregnated to keep her babies. This allows us to finish production and polish the editing, even adding a custom music track to accompany perfectly the emotions the documentary takes us through. Thanks to our incredible vegan community, we have reached our first goal of $5K towards the production of our first mini-documentary. We are overjoyed at this outpouring of support from so many of you… but most importantly, at the increased potential to change the lives of pigs all over the world with this film. Please help us reach our next fundraising goal of $10K to continue production and get one step closer to raising awareness for our non-human friends.

We have partnered with filmmaker Tom Pickering, the director of the impactful documentary I Could Never Go Vegan, to create a powerful short film about the lives of pigs. This is an introduction to the realities that 1.4+ billion pigs live every year going through our food system. This film is for caring individuals who have not yet taken a dive into longer documentaries such as Earthlings or Dominion, condensing all the information in under 10 minutes.

This eye-opening documentary will serve as an introduction to animal rights, which conceives animals has having inherent value and the use humans make of them as unnecessary; it is a call to at least granting animals the right to their own lives. Viewers will learn about the amazing qualities that pigs have, as well as the terrible reality they face since they’re born simply to satisfy people’s tastebuds. We believe this will be a compelling film that we can get out to hundreds of thousands of people, leading many to go vegan.
