Role overview

We’re looking for a Video Editor to create short-form reels that educate audiences and inspire them to go vegan. You’ll write and produce natural, engaging English content, craft strong hooks, and keep viewers watching till the end.

The role involves researching and fact-checking every claim, editing clips from multiple sources into persuasive stories, cutting reaction videos down to their best moments, and condensing long stories into single, clear reels. You’ll also stay on top of social media trends and regularly bring fresh ideas to the table.

Key responsibilities

  1. English content creationWrite and produce English content that sounds natural, conversational, and engaging for a social media audience.
  2. Short-form reel productionCreate reels of 15–60 seconds with strong pacing suited to the format.
  3. Hook writingCraft powerful opening hooks that capture viewers’ attention within the first few seconds.
  4. Viewer retentionStructure and pace each reel so viewers stay engaged through to the end, helping content perform better.
  5. Research and fact-checkingVerify facts, claims, and sources to ensure every piece of content is accurate, credible, and educational before publishing.
  6. Multi-source video editingSelect and assemble clips from a provided library into a cohesive, persuasive story that motivates viewers to consider going vegan.
  7. Reaction video editingCut full-length reaction recordings down to their strongest moments and enhance them with relevant B-roll for maximum impact.
  8. Story condensationTurn long-form stories told across multiple posts or sources into a single, clear, and engaging reel.
  9. Trend awareness and ideationStay active on social media, keep up with emerging trends and formats, and regularly pitch fresh content ideas.

Qualifications & skills

  • 1–3 years of experience creating or editing video content for a brand, creator, or publication
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms, formats, and audience behaviour

Note on tools

We have no specific tool preference. However, knowledge of CapCut, Premiere Pro, and Canva is a plus.
