On 10th and 11th October 2026, Veganmess, the 16th Tallinn Vegan Fair, will take place in the capital of Estonia, with food stalls, talks, panel discussions, and workshops. The fair describes itself as the Baltic’s oldest vegan lifestyle fair.

This edition goes back to the roots. Over ten small Estonian producers will sell age-old flavours from regions including Hiiumaa, Võrumaa, Mulgimaa, and Harjumaa, alongside other vendors. The programme will answer the question “Why vegan?” through the three pillars of veganism, which are animals, the environment, and health. It will also look at art as a form of communication and activism.

On Saturday, the main stage opens with a Loomus discussion on why fishes have been left out of animal protection, featuring Annina Ljokkoi, Geit Karurahu, Maia-Liisa Mürkel, and Triin Toom, moderated by Farištamo Eller. Jordi Casamitjana will then speak on “The Pawn Effect: How One Person Can Advance the Veganism and Animal Rights Cause.” Aimar Ventsel will explain what indigenous peoples means, using Arctic indigenous peoples as his example, and Mirjam Prints-Habal will talk about selenium. A creative activism session with Mari Frühling, Katharina Grepp, and Kristiina Avel, moderated by Saara Mildeberg, will be followed by Heelia Sillamaa, interviewed by Raquel Regina Kulijev, on the life cycle of a meal. Lili Marlen Rauba will close the talks by presenting the promotion of animal-based products as a political choice.

Sunday opens with a panel called “Back to the Roots” with Mikk Mägi, Loore-Emilie Raav, Annika Lepp, Regly Johanson, and Evelyn Valtin. Kerly Ilves will discuss the invisible connection between farming animals and food waste. Ann De Greef and Alexandra Ștefan will join an international English-language panel, “Shaping Change in Society,” moderated by Evelyn Valtin. Gert Koovit and Deimantė Lis will hold a dialogue in English on sport and veganism, followed by Anny Drobet, an Estonian Vegan Society board member, inviting visitors to join the society’s Sports Club.

The workshops include Loomus teaching badge making for activism on Saturday. Triin Terasmaa and Anni Aulik will run a session on whether a vegan diet meets all nutritional needs on both days. On Sunday, Jordi Casamitjana will lead “How to Communicate Veganism Effectively”, and Katharina Grepp and Saara Mildeberg will lead an English-language zine-making workshop called “Small, Powerful Booklets.”
