On 25th April 2026, thousands of people are expected to gather at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground for Vegfest Free 2026. Backed by entrepreneur Heather Mills and her new wellness brand No Bloat, organisers are calling it “the UK’s biggest free vegan event of the year.”
The event, run by VegfestUK, is predicted to draw around 3,000 attendees and will feature up to 150 stalls, over 40 speakers and performers, and a full line-up of outdoor entertainment including music, comedy, talks, and spoken word. Admission is free, though advance registration is required.
Heather Mills, who is sponsoring the event through No Bloat, said, “Now more than ever it’s time to support each other and work together within the broader vegan community… Vegfest Free presents a unique opportunity to extend solidarity to so many organisations whilst introducing thousands of people to the benefits of plant-based lifestyles.”
Visitors will have the chance to sample a wide variety of plant-based foods from national and local producers, as Birmingham was chosen for its strong food culture and growing appetite for sustainable living. The organisers said, “It may be that you’ve been advised to increase your plant-based intake for health reasons, or it may be for environmental reasons or simply concern for animals. Whatever the reason, Vegfest Free is designed to show just how accessible and enjoyable plant-based living can be.”
Among the high-profile guests expected are actor Dan Richardson, author Jordi Casamitjana, artists Philip McCulloch-Downs and Helen Barker, musician and activist Allan Jackson, Plamil Foods’ director Adrian Ling, One Planet Pizza’s Joe Hill, activist Tom Harris, and Plant Based Health Professionals UK. Speakers also include Dr Arielle Griffiths, Pat Reeves, Gem de Silva, John Robb, John King, and Dr Shireen Kassam, alongside vegan comedians and presenters.
No Bloat will be offering samples of its gut-friendly ready-meal pouches at the event. Heather Mills said, “Our convenient ready meal pouches are designed for people on the go who want real, nourishing food without the risk of discomfort… Whether you’re managing bloating or following a Low FODMAP lifestyle, every pouch supports your gut and your goals.”
